This letter is to recommend the work of Susan E. Graboski. She has worked for me for the last 18 months on two key projects.
One project was developing books for each of our Technician Crafts, identifying required technical capabilities and the necessary training to achieve them. The content came from a series of workshops with Leaders and the craft people who do this work. The outcomes were given to Susan to clean up, format, and package. There were many iterations as the product evolved. Susan took the lead on developing the final product and ensured that each craft book was the same. We now have books in the hands of all our Technicians that map out their development paths and progress.
The other project was building simulators that match each of our offshore Hub Control Rooms to train our operators. This project was an industry first, utilizing a new technology. Susan’s role was to package the lesson plans that the Operators would utilize during the training. She worked at the vendor’s site and interacted with the technicians from each Hub to ensure technical accuracy. Susan developed the format that became the standard for all Hub lesson plans. The simulators have been delivered and are being utilized at our training center. This project is still in progress with the last of the lesson plans still being completed.
In both of these projects Susan has demonstrated leadership with the ability to work with little supervision. She has successfully interacted with all levels of personnel. Her attention to detail is evident in the quality of the products she has produced. Susan never hesitates to ask questions if she doesn’t understand something. She has been very flexible and responsive as things have evolved. It has been a pleasure working with her and I would highly recommend her.
I am happy to provide this letter of recommendation for Susan E. Graboski. Since Susan joined Noble Energy, Inc., she has been given the responsibility as Technical Writer assigned to manage all of the Leviathan Development Project’s Quality Management documentation. This includes the formatting of various inspection forms and assisting Project Leads in the writing of Quality procedures, specifications, etc.
Susan has shown a high level of initiative, flexibility, and patience in her role as Technical Writer while working with the Quality Group. She is a good listener and is not hesitant to ask questions to gain clarification and understanding. Susan has truly been an asset to the project, especially to the Quality Group.
In addition to managing and producing Quality Group documentation, Susan also produced many documents for other disciplines in the project. Susan is a steady and thorough worker and an expert at her profession.

It is vitally important on large engineering projects such as Thunder Horse, that the many document deliverables are clearly written and remain consistent in terms of format and language. Susan’s role as Technical Writer on my project team was focused on ensuring the development of high quality documentation within strict deadlines.
Susan’ work included establishing an appropriate template for project documents, in conformance with company requirements. Susan also helped coordinate the development of documents, often from scratch, to establish a REV A draft which could then be issued for formal review through Document Control. This process involved multiple meetings with engineers, numerous edits, considerable patience, and a good work ethic.
Susan is hard working, diligent, and professional. She performs well under pressure and is goal-oriented. These attributes helped Susan to play a key role in ensuring that the documents produced as part of my team’s deliverables on the Thunder Horse Project were of a high quality. I am very happy with the work that she performed and would recommend her to potential future employers.
